Celebrating 170 Years of Serving Mora County

St. Gertrude’s Catholic Church invites everyone to its annual Función, Sunday, November 14, 2021, beginning with Holy Mass at 8:00 and 10:00 a.m. celebrated by Fr. James Sanchez.  Concelebrants are S.O.L.T. priests, Fr. Dale Craig, Fr. Paul Grala, and Fr. Jim Mulligan.  Deacon Eloy Roybal will be assisting in the Masses.

There will be a procession from St. Gertrude’s Church to the Mora Elementary School Gym following the 10:00 Mass.  The procession will be led by the Hermanos and priests and followed by its parishioners to the gym for a free potluck luncheon at noon and end at 4:00 p.m.

Planned events include bingo, a cake walk, kiddie games, a silent and live auction, and a raffle (over $10,000 in prizes will be awarded).  Live music will also take place during the afternoon.  Raffle prizes include:  a custom-made rifle (value: $3-$5K); $1000, $500, and $300 cash prizes; a Pendaries Golf Getaway; $300 worth of propane; one cord of firewood; and a $150 gift certificate to JC Pizza in Las Vegas.
